Ramadan 2026 Weekly Spiritual Guide
Each week of Ramadan has a distinct spiritual focus. This guide helps you make the most of all 30 days with clear goals and actionable steps for each week.
Week 1: Days 1-7 — Adjustment & Discipline
Dates (Feb 18 start): Feb 18-24 | Dates (Feb 19 start): Feb 19-25
Theme: Building your Ramadan routine
Your body is adjusting to fasting during this first week. Don’t push too hard — focus on establishing sustainable habits.
Goals
- Establish your routine — set consistent Suhoor, Iftar, and Taraweeh times
- Set Ramadan goals — how many Quran recitations? How much charity? Which habits to build?
- Start Quran reading — aim for at least 1 juz (part) per day to finish by Ramadan’s end
- Check what breaks your fast — use this tool if you’re unsure about specific situations
Daily Checklist
- Wake for Suhoor before Fajr
- Pray all 5 daily prayers on time
- Read at least 1 juz of Quran

Dates (Feb 18 start): Feb 25 - Mar 3 | Dates (Feb 19 start): Feb 26 - Mar 4
Theme: Deepening your worship
By now your body has adjusted. This is the week to push deeper into worship and eliminate distractions.
Goals
- Maintain momentum — the middle of Ramadan is when many people plateau
- Increase Quran recitation — add extra reading sessions or listen during commutes
- Seek forgiveness — this is the week of forgiveness in the traditional division of Ramadan
- Reduce distractions — limit social media, unnecessary browsing, and idle talk
Daily Checklist
- All Week 1 habits, plus:
- Add extra voluntary prayers (Duha, Tahajjud)
- Increase Istighfar (seeking forgiveness)
- Give daily charity, even if small
- Reflect on your Ramadan goals — are you on track?
Week 3: Days 15-21 — Preparation for the Final Push
Dates (Feb 18 start): Mar 4-10 | Dates (Feb 19 start): Mar 5-11
Theme: Building toward the last 10 days
The halfway point. Start shifting your energy toward the most important period of Ramadan.
Goals
- Increase worship intensity — add longer night prayers
- Plan I’tikaf — if you can take time off, the last 10 days in the mosque is the Sunnah
- Maximize charity — many Muslims give Zakat during Ramadan; calculate and plan yours
- Prepare your heart — increase dhikr (remembrance) and reduce worldly concerns
Daily Checklist
- All previous habits, plus:
- Pray at least 2 extra rakahs of Tahajjud
- Make a list of duas for the last 10 nights
- Start adjusting your sleep schedule for longer nights of worship
- Calculate your Zakat if you haven’t already
Week 4: Last 10 Days — Peak Worship & Laylat al-Qadr
Dates (Feb 18 start): Mar 9-19 | Dates (Feb 19 start): Mar 10-20
Theme: Seeking Laylat al-Qadr
These are the most blessed nights of the entire year. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would exert himself in worship during the last 10 days more than any other time.
Goals

- Maximize night prayers — Qiyam al-Layl, Tahajjud, long prostrations
- Complete Quran recitation — finish your Khatm if you haven’t yet

- Maintaining Quran reading — even a page a day
- Keeping up night prayers — even 2 rakahs before sleeping
- Continuing charity — make it a year-round habit
